puzzle

given the fact that we all perceive much more than we are able to realize or even analyse, i continously wonder how much the visual rhythms around us change the way we act under certain circumstances.

obviously the walking speed of pedestrians differs from city to city. maybe people are just trying to synchronize their own speed with the size of elements of a facade, adapt to the length of a building, the size of block, the width of a street. maybe it is just a result of different average ages. maybe there is even a correlation with the average income as time is money. what makes the rhythm of a city?
