the privilege of studying all sorts of contradictions, contradictions of forms, of things and people that obviously mismatch, gives us the rare opportunity to quickly glance behind the scenes, to get an idea of how things really are, as we become sometimes able to blend opposite parts seamlessly together and see them as a new whole.

often i like to think about such different visions or realities in terms of layers with a certain opacity, that are able to blend into each other. i tend to feel that envisioning such fictional layers can enable a wider, a deeper way to see.
